Overview

IT Support Engineer role at Free-Work UK in London. This is a hybrid position with in-office presence required at least 3 days a week.

Base pay range

The salary for this position is circa £40K - £50K.

Location: Central London (hybrid role). This is a 12 month full-time contract – FTC initially.

Responsibilities and qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on IT support and infrastructure experience at 1st and 2nd line levels, ideally within a banking environment.
• Microsoft Windows (all versions) experience to a high level; able to troubleshoot and resolve issues via research and knowledge bases.
• Active Directory to a high level—security groups, administration/deployment, LDAP, ADSI.
• Citrix XenApp administration, maintenance, and support of an existing XenApp farm.
• Windows Server 2012/2016 design, deployment, maintenance and support.
• VMware virtualization environments.
• Backups using various applications and techniques.
• Networking design, troubleshooting, and installation (VLAN, routing, switching, TCP/IP, OSI).
• Router maintenance, wireless configuration, installation, and setups.
• PowerShell competence (backup/Azure/EMC).
• VPN administration and deployment.
• DNS administration (internal and external).
• Experience supporting Market Data and Bloomberg is a plus.
