About The Role

We are seeking a talented JavaScript Developer with expertise in React, TypeScript, and Node.js to join our team on a remote, outside IR35 contract basis. This role is ideal for candidates who are immediately available or eager to secure a fast-paced, impactful position within a product build environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and developing modern web applications, collaborating closely with backend and database teams to deliver seamless, efficient solutions. The primary focus will be on front-end development using React and TypeScript, with additional responsibilities involving back-end REST API integration and database interaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in front-end development using JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong emphasis on React and Material UI.
  • Solid understanding of back-end REST services, including REST API design and Node.js development.
  • Experience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and project management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Immediate availability or short notice period preferred.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality front-end interfaces using React and Material UI. They will collaborate with backend developers to ensure seamless integration of RESTful services and contribute to the modernization of internal systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing clean, efficient, and responsive front-end components with React and TypeScript.
  • Implementing user interfaces that are intuitive and aligned with design specifications.
  • Working closely with backend and database teams to facilitate smooth data flow and integration.
  • Participating in the migration and modernization efforts of legacy systems to current technologies.
  • Supporting agile delivery processes by actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Ensuring code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to team members as needed.
