About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack JavaScript Developer (Mid-Level) to join our dynamic engineering team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge web and mobile applications, contributing to both front-end and back-end development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for creating scalable, high-performance solutions and will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative digital products. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including architects, designers, and project managers, to deliver solutions that exceed client expectations. This role is based in a hybrid working environment, requiring 1 to 2 days per week on-site in Manchester, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week. Candidates must hold or be eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance, and residency in the UK for the past five years is essential.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in full stack JavaScript development, demonstrating expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies. A strong understanding of Node.js and server-side frameworks such as Express.js, Nest.js, or Hapi.js is essential. Candidates should be proficient in modern front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js, and have solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+). Experience with TypeScript, modern development tools, and best practices is required. Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodologies is highly advantageous. Additionally, candidates should have experience with cloud-native development, serverless architectures on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance and continuous residency in the UK for at least five years are mandatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of web and mobile applications using JavaScript, Node.js, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Collaborate with system architects and fellow developers to create robust, scalable, and secure application architectures for new projects and existing system enhancements.
• Participate actively in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure continuous delivery and improvement.
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality, performance, and security compliance.
• Contribute to refining development processes, tools, and techniques to boost team productivity and product quality.
• Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver innovative solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
• Stay informed about the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.
