Archimed utilises our deep crypto network and proprietary data infrastructure to drive investment decisions for a number of fund strategies. The Archimed team is a small yet dynamic one with a strong background in investment management, data science and crypto.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and independent Junior On-Chain Trading Systems Engineer to support our trading and research team. You’ll work closely with our senior engineer and tech-lead to manage live trading systems, connect with new DeFi protocols, and streamline production workflows. This is a small, highly collaborative team where you’ll have autonomy, responsibility, and room to grow into a senior role over time.

The junior trading systems engineer will take over and manage current production processes, streamline current “bare-bones” architecture running across multiple one time scripts, and deploy new integrations with protocols on an active basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the current Archimed Python code base across GitHub, AWS, and local development processes.
• Abstract and streamline existing production operations into a scalable AWS Lambda/S3 architecture.
• Set up and manage local RPC nodes across major L1s (Ethereum, Solana) and L2s to support trading system operations.
• Integrate with new L1 and L2 networks, actively explore new yield opportunities, and deploy protocol connections.
• Build and maintain databases (MySQL Workbench or AWS cloud equivalents) for storage and analytics.
• Support daily operational tasks including claiming rewards, monitoring strategies, and ensuring system reliability.
• Engage with an expanding range of blockchains and protocols, contributing to DeFi ecosystem integrations and wallet infrastructure development.
• Collaborate with the research team to help design, execute, and optimize yield strategies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of production-level Python development experience.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and data modeling.
• Exposure to DeFi protocols, tokenization, and blockchain smart contract integrations.
• Practical knowledge of Web3 reads/writes, CEX connections, and persistent state management (orders/fills reconciliation).
• Strong understanding of running and maintaining RPC nodes and multi-chain infrastructure.
• Independent, proactive, and comfortable working in a small, high-autonomy team environment.
• Passion for decentralized finance, with an eagerness to learn and grow alongside the ecosystem.

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-chain infrastructure beyond Ethereum and Solana (e.g., new L1s, L2s).
• Familiarity with staking derivatives, liquidity pool risk analysis, or structured yield strategies.
• Previous experience in trading, hedge funds, or crypto-native investment teams.
