Junior Web Developer - Northampton (Hybrid working) - Permanent - Up to £34k

Roc Search are currently on the lookout for a Junior Web Developer for our client based in Northampton on a permanent basis to join a growing development team. This will be a hybrid working position, 3 days a week onsite in Northampton. The ideal person will be experienced in PHP, Laravel, and MySQL, with a solid understanding of modern web development practices.

Responsibilities

• Join a growing development team in Northampton and contribute to ongoing projects.
• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP (7/8) and the Laravel framework.
• Work with MySQL for database design, optimisation, and maintenance.
• Support front-end development with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design practices.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a Web Developer/Software Engineer.
• Proficient in PHP (7/8) with Laravel framework experience.
• Experience with MySQL, including database schema design and optimisation.
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive front-end practices.

Desirable skills

• Knowledge of Azure.
• Understanding of containerisation tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
