The role
- Supporting the National Key Account Manager to manage a portfolio of major care and education clients (representing thousands of sites).
- Acting as the day-to-day contact for client queries, service issues, and updates.
- Conducting site visits and surveys – taking measurements, photos, and videos to support new equipment installations and projects.
- Liaising with internal service teams, suppliers, and customers to keep projects on track.
- Gathering and analysing data, producing reports, and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Attending regular review meetings with clients and occasionally stepping in to represent the team.
- Being flexible to travel nationally (including overnight stays when needed).
The person
- Degree (or equivalent experience) – business, marketing, or technical fields a bonus.
- Placement year or work experience in service, equipment, or FMCG industry is advantageous.
- Experience in customer-facing roles, project coordination, or field-based service is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in account management, national accounts or sales.
- A strong communicator – comfortable speaking with everyone from kitchen staff to CEOs.
- Adaptable & proactive – able to handle shifting priorities and unexpected challenges.
- Commercially curious – interested in how businesses grow and keen to spot opportunities.
- Resilient & professional – able to handle demanding situations with empathy and assertiveness.
- Organised & data-friendly – confident with Excel and reporting (or keen to learn).
- Mobile & flexible – happy with frequent travel and occasional overnight stays.
