Key Account Manager

Manpower has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proven Key Account Manager in the LPG sector. This role involves working with one of the leading UK Liquified Petroleum Gas suppliers.
Reporting to the Head of UK Bulk Sales, you will be responsible for developing commercial bulk gas sales, managing margins, and implementing national sales policies. You will also be accountable for the growth and profitability of both new and existing accounts.
We are seeking candidates with the following essential skills:
- Full UK driving licence
- IT literacy
- GCSE level education or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Profitable sales, negotiation, and closing skills at senior level
- Stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Time and priority management skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Presentation skills
- Ability to build a network of business contacts to achieve targets
- A proactive "hunting" mindset for acquiring new business outside current portfolio
Desirable qualifications include:
- Experience and knowledge of the LPG business sector
- Experience and knowledge of the energy sector (Oil, Renewables, Gas)
We also welcome candidates with proven track records in acquiring new business at a senior level and a willingness to learn and succeed within the LPG sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Achieving targets related to volume, revenue, gross margin, and P&L
- Driving new products and strategies
- Monitoring and resolving customer queries
- Using delegated authorities and tools such as DCF, CPI
- Account management and customer relations
- Attending industry events and conferences
- Pipeline management: prospecting, re-contracting, pricing
- Controlling sales OPEX
- Implementing annual RPI inflation price increases
- Monitoring competitor activity
- Building relationships with internal support functions
Requirements for the role:
- Home/field-based role with flexibility to work from an office
- Reporting to the Head of Sales Bulk UK
- Working within a team of 8 Key Account Managers
- Regular travel within designated areas and occasional national travel
