Lead DevOps Engineer – nexhub (Hybrid / London)
At nexhub, we’re the engineering force behind nexmin — an innovative, always-on delivery platform redefining how food, groceries, and retail products reach customers across the UK and Europe. Backed by a London-based team of technologists, we’re transforming last-mile logistics through automation, data, and intelligent cloud infrastructure.
If you’re passionate about building scalable systems that power real-world impact, we’d love to have you join us.
The Role
We’re looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes. You’ll be the driving force behind automation, scalability, and reliability for the nexmin platform — helping our engineering teams ship faster, safer, and smarter.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for the nexmin platform.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub or GitLab) to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or Azure Container Apps.
- Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform to ensure reproducible, automated environments.
- Create and manage AWS Lambda functions and custom deployment scripts.
- Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to streamline delivery and improve reliability.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
- Ensure systems meet data privacy and compliance standards, including GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act.
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure deployment and management.
- Expertise in:
- CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD)
- Containers & Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Cloud Services (AWS ECS, AWS Lambda, Azure Container Apps)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Strong understanding of security best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for production-grade systems.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering teams.
Bonus Points For
- AWS, Azure, or DevOps certifications.
- Experience with secrets management tools (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
- Previous experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
Why Join nexhub

- Competitive compensation and growth opportunities within a fast-evolving company.
