Lead PHP / Laravel Developer – Fully Remote (UK only) – £80k+

We’re partnering with a fast-growing SaaS company transforming financial management in the luxury and yachting sector. Their platform combines accounting, payments, FX, and project management tools into one solution, helping clients across the globe simplify complex operations.

They’re hiring a skilled PHP / Laravel Developer to join their fully remote UK-based engineering team. In this role, you’ll build and scale backend systems, integrate APIs, and collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver new features. You’ll also work to improve performance, strengthen security, and help shape the long-term technical direction of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend systems using PHP and Laravel.
• Integrate internal and external APIs and services.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver features.
• Improve performance, security, and reliability of the platform.
• Contribute to the long-term technical direction and architecture decisions.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience with PHP and Laravel
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, caching, and background jobs
• Familiarity with modern development workflows — version control, testing, and best practices
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fully remote team
• (Bonus) Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
• (Bonus) Background in fintech, SaaS, or payment systems
