Lead Presales Solutions Architect

New Today

Overview

We’re partnering with a major global technology consultancy that’s redefining how large organisations modernise and rebuild their software estates. They’re looking for a technically credible, commercially minded Pre-Sales Solution Architect — someone who can bridge deep engineering knowledge with the ability to craft compelling modernisation solutions for complex clients.

You’ll sit at the intersection of technology, sales and strategy — helping enterprise customers escape legacy constraints, adopt modern architectures, and embed AI into every stage of their software delivery lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with senior sales and delivery teams to scope, define and present solutions across application modernisation, integration, and digital engineering.
  • Lead the pre-sales architecture lifecycle on large, multi-service transformation bids (£5m+), ensuring each proposal is both technically robust and commercially sound.
  • Translate complex client estates into clear modernisation roadmaps — from monolithic legacy systems to cloud-native, modular, AI-augmented architectures.
  • Champion the use of AI within the SDLC, leading technical demos and developing go-to-market offerings around intelligent automation, testing and AI-powered coding.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and architecture teams to align client solutions with delivery capability and innovation strategy.

What you’ll bring

  • A solid engineering background (Java, C#, or similar), ideally with 3–5 years of hands-on build and architecture experience.
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end pre-sales solutioning within application services or digital transformation deals of £5m+.
  • Broad architecture knowledge spanning multiple tech stacks and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Experience integrating AI tools or automation into software development lifecycles.
  • The ability to translate technical complexity into clear, outcome-focused solutions that win client confidence.

What we’re not looking for

  • Delivery-only or post-sales architects without bid accountability.
  • Narrow specialists tied to a single hyperscaler or low-code ecosystem.
  • Theoretical AI advocates without practical implementation experience.

The package

  • Salary up to £120,000 + bonus + strong benefits
  • Hybrid working (UK-wide, client-site when needed)
  • Access to cutting-edge AI engineering initiatives and training
  • Inclusive, growth-focused culture with genuine progression

If you’re an engineer at heart who thrives on solving legacy challenges and shaping modern architectures — and want to join a global consultancy driving the future of AI-enabled software transformation — this is a standout opportunity.
