My Client is currently recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer / Process Engineer in the Water Sector. We are looking to strengthen our Engineering team with a Lead Process Engineer or Process Engineer based at Peterborough with hybrid working available. You will report directly to the Head of Engineering and provide engineering technical direction to discipline engineers in your area, focusing on water or water recycling non-infrastructure projects. You will support the design of various non-infrastructure schemes, ensuring all designs are fit for purpose and comply with current legislation and standards. As our new Process Engineer in the Place Based Thinking team, you'll collaborate with the project design team to develop appropriate process solutions, adopting principles of optimized plant performance, standard designs, and framework engineering standards.

Key responsibilities:

1. Undertake process design of wastewater solutions and sewerage systems that meet client goals regarding customer, environment, and efficiency.
2. Produce technical deliverables, including technical schedules, data sheets, and engineering calculations (hydraulic, pump, mass balance, RICS, etc.).
3. Develop specific specifications for engineering subcontracts and work closely with the supply chain, performing technical bid analysis of their designs.
4. Oversee key outputs such as process calculations, hydraulics, unit processes, pump calculations, capacity calculations, data sheets, and technical bid analysis of third-party process equipment.
5. Communicate effectively at all levels to ensure the delivery of technical excellence.
6. Escalate issues that may impact time, cost, or quality before they become problems or exceed deadlines.
7. Support health and safety standards, producing safe designs in accordance with CDM Regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
8. Maintain collaboration with other engineering teams to ensure smooth interfaces, manage overlaps, and share best practices.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Degree in wastewater process science or engineering-related subject.
• Experience in process engineering within wastewater projects on a large scale.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong IT skills to combine technical and people skills effectively.
