Work pattern: Full time/Permanent/Hybrid
This is a full-time permanent position, based in our London office. We operate in a hybrid capacity and require 2 days in the office. All applicants must have the legal right to live and work permanently in the UK.
Role Description:
The primary focus of the TGI Technology unit is to produce technological solutions for one of the Kantar Media’s flagship lines of business, TGI. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Software Developer who is looking to take a step up into Lead role.
As Lead Software Developer at Kantar Media, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of TGI software development initiatives. In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of our software products through use of DevOps and Scrum methodologies and toolsets. In the challenging landscape of ever-increasing data volumes and advancing technologies you will be leading a team of talented software engineers, developing best-in-class solutions that will help to accelerate the growth of our organisation.
Job Role Requirements
- Responsibility for development and maintenance of client facing tools and platforms with C++ and C# codebases.
- Responsibility for development and maintenance of analytical calculation engines and implementation of mathematical algorithms.
- Drive adoption of new technologies and advise on products technical direction.
- Closely collaborate with Product and Operations teams to gather development requirements.
- Facilitate Analysis and Design sessions with the development and QA teams.
- Drive and champion implementation of technological and methodological aspect of DevOps
- Ensure good coding standards are met and maintained.
- Ensure comprehensive technical documentation is produced.
- Collaborate with Information Security department to meet high security standards of software solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency.
- Assume line management responsibility empowering your team to succeed in their roles.
- Contribute to maintaining company’s ISO9001 standard and accreditation.
- Proficiency in Azure Cloud Platform and Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of document-based NoSQL database systems, preferably MongoDB
- Understanding of RESTful API concepts and implementation with C#
Role Requirements
- Expert knowledge C++ MFC, STL, COM/COM+
- Advanced or higher knowledge of C# .NET
- Full understanding of all aspects of SDLC
- Background in mathematics, knowledge of statistical analysis desirable
- MSc in Computer Science, Computer Science degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior developer’s role.
- Experience in working in DevOps environment and Agile Scrum methodology.
