Role Overview

This is a flexible, remote consultancy position ideal for a solicitor looking to mentor and collaborate with a small business in a low‑pressure, ethical, and client‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on complex wills, trusts, and probate issues.
• Review and supervise legal documents prepared for clients.
• Ensure compliance with UK legal and regulatory requirements in wills and estate planning.
• Act as a QWE supervisor after one year, confirming qualifying work experience in accordance with the SRA’s requirements.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a current practising certificate.
• Experience in wills, trusts, probate, or private client law.
• Willingness to work with a small business in a flexible freelance capacity.
• Supportive, mentoring attitude and interest in professional development.
• Comfortable working remotely and communicating online.
• Freelance consultancy.
• Opportunity to support a developing business and help train a future solicitor.
• Mutually agreed payment terms.
