Job Description

Under the supervision of a Senior Lawyer and as part of the wider team you will manage matters relating to and advise on:

• general healthcare related matters
• inquests (with the support of external Counsel)
• Insurance queries (triaging of claims, dealing with matters on a prima facie basis).

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel (12 month FTC) should:

• be a lawyer, qualified in the UK or another Common Law jurisdiction (and will be likely to have at least 3 years of Post Qualification Experience).
• have a strong legal qualification and proven expertise in the healthcare industry and excellent knowledge of relevant laws and regulations relating to professional indemnity insurance and inquests.
• be able to work in the UK for at least 12 months without sponsorship.

The ability and willingness to attend the organisation's central London office at least once a week (although for a more senior level candidates there could potentially be a higher level of remote working on offer).
