Legal Counsel (1-Year FTC) - Hybrid | London (1-2 days/week)

Overview

This is a high-impact role where you will act as a trusted partner to the business, supporting legal initiatives across our global operations. The position is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract with a hybrid model, typically 1–2 days per week in our London office. Klöckner Pentaplast is a global leader in sustainable packaging with operations in more than 18 countries, supporting food, pharma and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review and maintain a wide range of legal documents, contracts and agreements.
  • Support the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, tracking and ongoing administration.
  • Assist with corporate records, board materials and compliance with regulatory obligations.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional departments to gather information and provide clear, practical legal support.
  • Organise and deliver legal training sessions to colleagues on policies, compliance and relevant legal topics.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of legal activities, agreements and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Lawyer (1–3 PQE or equivalent).
  • In‑house experience is not required – we are open to candidates from private practice.
  • Strong drafting, interpretation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work at pace and with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to turn legal complexity into clear, user‑friendly guidance.
  • A collaborative mindset – team player, flexible and commercially aware.
  • Enthusiasm, curiosity, and the willingness to learn.
