Sizewell C – Suffolk (hybrid working arrangements, London or Suffolk). Permanent full‑time with flexibility for part‑time arrangements. Competitive salary dependent on experience, plus bonus and benefits. Closing date: Tuesday 18th November 2025.
Overview
Sizewell C is the UK’s next nuclear power new build project, following the success of Hinkley Point C. With planning approval and financial investment secured, the project will deliver dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, supporting Britain’s net‑zero agenda.
Role
Legal Counsel – MEH Alliance. The successful candidate will provide pragmatic advice and support on all legal aspects of Sizewell C’s interest in the formation and operation of the Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC Alliance (MEH), ensuring robust contractual, commercial and regulatory compliance across the multi‑party framework.
- Advise on formation, governance and ongoing operations of the MEH Alliance.
- Ensure contractual, commercial and regulatory compliance across the alliance.
- Work closely with senior colleagues in Delivery, Commercial, Finance and Project Controls, as well as external advisers and alliance partners, to underpin construction activities with robust legal solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
- A qualified solicitor or barrister (England & Wales) with strong experience in construction, infrastructure or energy law.
- Solid grounding in construction and engineering contracts (NEC, FIDIC or alliance models).
- Experience advising on large, complex infrastructure or energy projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance risk with project objectives.
- A collaborative mindset, comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams.
