Legal Counsel - Renewables Sector (Construction, EPC)
We are exclusively supporting a leading international renewable energy company who are looking to appoint a Legal Counsel (Construction / EPC) to support their expanding portfolio of solar projects across the UK.
Operating across the full project lifecycle from early‑stage development, EPC delivery and storage integration through to O&M and asset management, the business is widely recognised for its technical innovation, quality and sustainable growth.
As the company continues to scale its UK footprint, it is creating a new legal role to sit alongside the UK leadership team and work in close collaboration with colleagues across Europe.
Role
This is a hands‑on position focused on providing commercial and construction support for UK solar projects.
Drafting and negotiating EPC contracts for utility‑scale solar (20–80MW+).
Supporting procurement and supplier agreement negotiations.
Acting as the primary UK point of contact for legal and commercial matters.
Partnering closely with project, engineering and commercial teams.
Working with senior leadership in the UK, with a dotted line to the European General Counsel.
Candidate
A junior–mid level construction or projects lawyer (private practice or in‑house background).
Strong experience with front‑end EPC or construction contracts.
Exposure to solar, renewables or wider energy infrastructure is highly advantageous.
Commercial, pragmatic and comfortable operating in a fast‑growing, entrepreneurial environment.
This is a great opportunity to join a mission‑driven renewable energy company at a pivotal stage of its growth, with the potential to evolve into a senior legal role over time.
