About the Role
Ohme is looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel with 0-5 years PQE to join a dynamic and growing legal team. Reporting directly to the Group General Counsel, you will play a crucial role in a fast-paced, innovative tech firm. You will sit within a close-knit team of four lawyers and will have the opportunity to shape and develop junior lawyers, including trainees and paralegals, as the team expands. The Group’s legal team is based in London and manages Ohme’s worldwide legal operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts including wholesale and other sales agreements
- Reviewing and assessing risks in supplier contracts
- Drafting and negotiating NDAs
- Managing consultancy agreements and employment legal support
- Advising on Privacy and Data Protection matters (beneficial but not essential)
- Advising on SaaS agreements (beneficial but not essential)
- Managing external counsel across multiple jurisdictions
- Delivering company training and providing compliance support (policies, legal updates)
- Assisting with corporate matters (board/shareholder resolutions and company secretary)
- 0-5 years PQE with a commercial/corporate law background from a US/City firm (indicative PQE – we are open to seeing candidates with more years qualified)
- In-house experience is beneficial but not essential
- A proactive self-starter and hands-on approach
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Confidence working across all levels of the business
- Organised and commercially focused mindset
- A team player willing to pitch in and support colleagues.
- Knowledge of a European language is a plus
