This role reports to the UKI Senior Legal Advisor and supports legal aspects of commercial operations, consumer claims, data privacy and corporate governance. The position offers exposure to a wide range of legal matters, coordinating with global and regional legal departments for subject matter expertise and external legal firms for related tasks, while providing consultancy and training to related teams as needed.

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated legal professional with strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative spirit. The ideal candidate will work closely with UKI business teams, the regional legal department, and external counsel, develop expertise across commercial, privacy, and compliance matters, and contribute to the team’s success through sound legal support and relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Legal Support
    • Assist in reviewing contracts and amendments with customers and vendors, including across retailer partners and indirect procurement.
    • Support commercial and brand teams with legal input on growth initiatives and retailer transitions.
    • Monitor legal developments affecting supply chain operations and post-Brexit regulations.
  • Marketing, Consumer & Data Protection
    • Provide guidance on marketing campaigns, brand promotions and consumer data use.
    • Liaise with regional teams on intellectual property and regulatory matters.
    • Liaise with brand communications teams on influencer and PR activities.
  • Compliance, Training & Governance
    • Deliver training to brand and functional teams on relevant legal topics.
    • Stay informed on legal developments and assist in implementing necessary changes.
  • Strategic Support
    • Provide legal input to business teams on operational matters.
    • Help reduce reliance on external counsel by supporting internal legal capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law from a common law jurisdiction.
  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience in compliance or data privacy is a plus.
  • Prior in-house experience favourably viewed but not required.
  • Proficiency in MS Word.
