Global Holdings Management Group is an international alliance of real estate asset management and investment advisory companies operating across the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe. The firm exclusively develops, advises, and manages the real estate assets of Global Holdings Group across its residential, commercial and hotel portfolios in these geographies. The current portfolio consists of over 10 million square feet of real estate, comprising over 100 properties and 2,500 hotel rooms. The group manages some of the most exciting real estate development projects in the world, creating extraordinary properties for tenants, customers, and guests alike.
Summary Description Of Position
The Legal Counsel provides high-level support and assistance to the General Counsel and interacts with various stakeholders within both the commercial and hotel/hospitality sectors of the organisation.
Reporting Relationship
The role reports directly to the General Counsel and is situated within the group’s head office in London. The role is Monday to Thursday in the office, with Fridays working from home.
Role And Responsibilities
Commercial Contracts: Independently review, draft and negotiate simple and complex commercial contracts with suppliers and consultants, particularly on the hotel side of the business.
Development: Manage certain legal aspects of real estate development projects, including negotiating consultant appointments, contracts and reliance letters, and liaising with external lawyers and the internal Global Holdings development team.
Financing: Project manage legal documentation for financing deals, liaising with external lawyers and the internal Global Holdings teams to provide information required by the lender and ensure compliance with conditions precedent and subsequent.
Investment: Project manage the legal due diligence process and documentation for the acquisition and disposal of real estate assets.
Litigation: Work with external lawyers, project manage legal proceedings and claims.
Intellectual Property: Keep the IP schedule up to date for both office and hotel sides and assess any IP protection shortfalls.
Legal Research: Conduct legal and market research to support strategic decision-making.
Drafting: Draft and liaise with the relevant internal Global Holdings teams on intra-group agreements, letters of instruction, termination notices and bespoke legal documents.
Reporting: Synthesize long or complex legal reports and contracts, highlight key points for discussion with the General Counsel and internal teams.
External Lawyers: Work with external lawyers as necessary, instructing them, obtaining fee estimates and managing transactions.
NDAs: Review and negotiate NDAs.
Document Management: Keep SharePoint up to date with legal and other relevant documentation, diary key dates.
Legal Compliance: Stay up to date with legal and market changes to assist the General Counsel with compliance for both office and hotel sides.
Support to General Counsel: Provide high-level support and assistance to the General Counsel as required.
Other duties: Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by the line manager.
Professional / Personal Qualifications
It is imperative that the individual upholds the philosophy, culture, and values of the Group.
Experience / Qualifications
Legal: Fully qualified lawyer with at least 2-4 years’ post-qualification experience in private practice or in‑house.
Professional qualifications: Relevant for location role (UK).
Sector: Ideally some experience in the real estate sector.
Skills / Knowledge

Strong organisational and analytical problem‑solving skills
Ability to acquire, maintain and influence relationships with stakeholders, customers, vendors and investors
Significant proven experience in a similar role
