A Lifecycle Engineer opportunity has become available with our Joint Platform Engineering Team (JPET) in Bristol.
The JPET is a collaborative team comprising members from the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA), Babcock, and Rolls-Royce. Its goal is to deliver evidence-based maintenance requirement optimization recommendations to the SDA, aiming to reduce overall maintenance volume and increase platform availability.
As a Lifecycle Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance requirement investigations with peers, identifying areas for optimization, or confirming existing maintenance is optimal.

Your Responsibilities
- Manage multiple maintenance requirement/optimization investigations simultaneously.
- Gather data from teams and Design Authorities within SDA to support investigations and solutions.
- Drive maintenance optimization investigations to successful conclusions, working as part of a Scrum Agile team using Azure DevOps for work management and planning.
Candidate Profile
- Experience within the UK Submarines Enterprise (e.g., Navy, MOD, Prime Industry Partner).
- Experience developing and challenging maintenance requirements.
- Safety Case experience.
- Investigative and questioning mindset.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and report writing.
