About the role
The Locum Business Manager (also known as Locum Agency Manager) leads teams, develops people, and trains them for high performance. You will recruit, motivate, and be part of the Scotland Regional Leadership team, supporting agency partners to ensure seamless service delivery across different teams and offices.
Our agencies in Scotland range from £5m to over £20m gross written premium, with self-employed leaders. This role offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills in a dynamic environment that requires resilience, quick thinking, and creativity.
Home working is available when not in the field. Flexibility is offered to maintain work-life balance. While focused on North or South Scotland, occasional support for other locations may be required.
This role complies with Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, including ongoing CPD and re-screening to ensure 'Good Repute'. More information can be found in the FCA Handbook.
About you
You should have experience in insurance, preferably with NFUM product knowledge and licensing, though broader insurance knowledge is also acceptable. Willingness to travel frequently is essential. Key skills include:
