Acts as a point of technical expertise and thought leadership, and provides line management and/or coaching to grow team capability.**Job Description****JOB TITLE:** Machine Learning & AI Engineer**SALARY:** £90,440-£117,040**LOCATION(S):** Leeds**HOURS:** Full-time - 35 hours per week**WORKING PATTERN:** Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at leasttwo days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.**ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY**We’re looking for a strategic and technically minded Machine Learning & AI Engineer to join our Homes Platform AI Team.As a Lead Machine Learning & AI Engineer, you will use your knowledge of key software development best practices, Python testing frameworks, CI/CD, and source control to develop end-to-end machine learning systems in Python. You will productionize machine learning pipelines that implement data science solutions to the bank’s data problems, ensuring they are scalable and efficient.**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING****Day to day, you will:*** Leading the team to help design and implement machine learning models and algorithms.* Develop and maintain scalable ML pipelines and infrastructure.* Collaborate with data scientists to understand model requirements and translate them into technical solutions.* Optimize models for performance and accuracy.* Deploy and monitor ML models in production environments.* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ML systems.**WHAT YOU’LL NEED*** Passion for Machine Learning & AI, adopting the mindset of a curious engineer* A senior technical lead, who takes ownership of deliveries within a Feature Team and is willing to help grow and guide engineers to form successful teams.* Ability to understand complex business requirements and create business ready solutions* Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, particularly the ability to convey business information arising from technical subject matter to non-technical people.* A change mindset, helping to improve and support policies, processes, standards and practices.**And any experience of these would be really useful*** Insights into industry solutions for data management, storage, and analytics* Experience of working within regulatory change would be advantageous, including Credit Risk, capital and impairment processes* Experience of line management.**ABOUT WORKING FOR US**Like the modern Britain we serve, we’re evolving.
