Goodman Masson is partnering with a dynamic, rapidly growing Events & Exhibitions business to appoint a hands-on, standalone Finance Manager or Management Accountant - supported by external accountants.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a visible, broad finance role within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial company. The business delivers world-class events for global brands and is backed by private equity, with ambitious growth plans already underway.

Base pay range

Finance Manager/MA | Central London | Events & Exhibitions | £45,000 – £55,000 + benefits | Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home)

Role and responsibilities

• Reporting to the MD and CEO and working closely with senior leadership, you’ll have full ownership of finance – from reporting and compliance through to driving process improvements and supporting commercial decision-making. You will look to take away processes from the external accountants and put in place best in class systems and team.


• Full ownership of the finance function, supported by external accountants


• Preparation of monthly management accounts with insightful commentary


• Leading year-end reporting and managing the audit process


• Cash flow forecasting and daily cash management


• Oversight of payroll, VAT returns and tax compliance


• Business partnering with senior stakeholders and founders


• Producing KPI and financial analysis to support strategic decisions


• Driving process, systems and control improvements


• Managing external providers for transactional finance

What we’re looking for

• Partly qualified or fully qualified accountant


• Hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment


• Commercially minded, with the confidence to challenge and partner with senior leadership


• Strong on cash flow, cost control, and process implementation
