The Role
The Manager, Marketing and Communications (Events) will lead the delivery of integrated, multi-channel marketing and communications strategies that enhance the visibility and reputation of the Council’s events, brand, and partnerships.
You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues and external partners to ensure seamless integration of marketing efforts with event logistics, content development, and stakeholder engagement, creating campaigns that attract sponsors, exhibitors, delegates, and media attention.
This is a hands-on role in a global organisation, ideal for a skilled marketer who thrives on creativity, collaboration, and purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver integrated marketing and communications strategies (sponsor, exhibitor, delegate) that boost event visibility, engagement, and attendance.
- Lead digital marketing across web, email, and social media; crafting campaigns that convert and content that connects with a wide range of audiences.
- Manage website content, social channels, and email campaigns, using analytics to track, refine, and report on performance.
- Coordinate the design of compelling multi-channel marketing collateral - from visual communication approaches (videos, short films and graphics) to brochures, ads and campaigns that showcase the Council’s impact.
- Support internal stakeholders in delivering marketing initiatives for sponsors and partners and assist in the development of promotional materials that strengthen relationships and drive results.
- Champion brand consistency, creativity, and storytelling across all marketing materials.
About you
You’re a skilled communicator and creative marketer with a proven track record of delivering impactful campaigns for large-scale international events.
You thrive in fast-paced environments and have the diplomatic finesse to collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.
You’ll bring:
- Experience managing complex marketing projects in an international, multi-stakeholder context.
- Exceptional English-language written and verbal communication and editorial skills, with a keen eye for detail. Fluency in other languages is a plus.
- Strong digital marketing expertise across web, social media platforms, email, and data analytics.
- Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- Degree educated in a relevant discipline.
- A collaborative mindset and proactive approach – you are both a thinker and a doer.
- An interest in the energy sector, sustainability, and the global issues shaping our shared future, with the curiosity to learn more.
