TheInsight & Analyst Relations team delivers the intelligence that drivesstrategic decisions across the business. We’re now seeking an experiencedMarket & Competitive Intelligence (M&CI) Platform Lead to shape andlead the development of a new, AI-enabled research and analysis platform.
Thisis a pivotal role for a hands-on professional with proven experience indelivering market and competitive analysis to support business strategy—whetherin-house or within a consulting/agency environment.
What you will be doing:
- AI Platform Development:Lead the design, development, and delivery of a scalable, AI-powered research platform. Ensure it integrates with existing tools and aligns with the strategic needs of users across the business.
- Market & Competitive Analysis:Collect, synthesise, and analyse market and competitor data to generate actionable intelligence for strategic planning, key bids, and growth initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Work closely with senior leaders to understand business priorities and tailor intelligence products that inform high-level decision-making.
- Agile Delivery:Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops, run agile sprints, and lead iterative development based on user feedback.
- Governance & Compliance:Establish governance frameworks to ensure all research activities and the use of AI tools are conducted responsibly and in compliance with company standards and regulations. Implement data validation and quality control processes so that intelligence outputs are accurate, unbiased, and trusted by stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement:Stay at the forefront of emerging research tools, methodologies, and AI capabilities to continuously improve the platform’s performance and impact.
What you’ll bring:
- Market Intelligence Experience:Experience in market research or market intelligence, gained in agency or client-side roles.
- Structured Data Handling & Methodology:Brings a disciplined, structured approach to working with large and varied datasets—from sourcing and wrangling through to analysis. Skilled in identifying the most effective data sources and analytical techniques to answer complex business questions efficiently and accurately.
- Data Fluency & Methodology Development:Proficient in working with large, varied datasets. Experienced in selecting or creating the right analytical methodologies to meet different intelligence needs.
- Senior Stakeholder Engagement:Effectively engage senior stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities. Apply a strong grasp of research methodologies and business analytical frameworks to design bespoke, insight-driven strategic solutions that meet those needs.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking:Experience conducting market and competitor research in a commercial context, with a strong track record of delivering strategic insights—not just data. This may come from an in-house role or a strategy, research, or competitive intelligence agency.
- Strategic Insight Generation:Skilled at interpreting complex data to identify trends, assess market shifts, and recommend clear, forward-looking actions.
- Technical Proficiency:Comfortable using tools like Excel and Power BI. Open to experimenting with AI/ML solutions to enhance research capabilities.
- Agile Project Leadership:Experienced in agile delivery, including running workshops, managing sprints, and iterating based on feedback. Strong planning and coordination skills.
- Effective Communicator:Able to present findings with clarity and impact—both in writing and in conversation—with stakeholders at all levels, including non-technical audiences.
- Innovation & Continuous Learning:Passionate about exploring new tools and methods. Keeps up with AI and research trends to improve insight generation.
Adaptability & Problem-Solving:Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Tackles challenges creatively and adjusts strategies as priorities shift.
