Salary: £35,000 + £3,954 London Weighting Allowance

We’re seeking a strategic and results-driven Marketing Manager to join our Marketing and Communications team for a 12-month maternity cover. About the role
In this hands-on role, you'll collaborate with the Group Head of Marketing and Communications and other team members to develop and execute externally facing paid marketing plans aligned with the charity’s objectives. Your work will contribute to an integrated marketing strategy, focusing on communicating the Blue Cross brand, our work, and how people can ‘get help’ or ‘give help’. You’ll be responsible for both strategy and campaign execution, working with external agencies (media and creative) to produce effective campaigns. You’ll liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and keep everyone informed throughout the campaign lifecycle. Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on campaign performance will be essential to drive continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and execute paid marketing strategies aligned with the charity’s goals, in collaboration with the Group Head of Marketing and Communications.
- Lead marketing plans supporting our brand strategy, working closely with the fundraising team to align brand positioning with fundraising objectives.
- Manage relationships with external agencies to develop and implement campaigns across various channels.
- Oversee the full campaign process, ensuring timely delivery within budget and aligned with objectives.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring departmental alignment.
- Evaluate campaign effectiveness and provide post-campaign analysis and insights.
- Ensure all marketing activities adhere to brand guidelines and integrate with the broader marketing strategy.
- Manage and mentor one direct report, providing guidance to ensure high-quality work.
About you
We’re looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager with proven experience in delivering multi-channel paid campaigns. You should have a strategic mindset, with the ability to manage campaign execution and meet key objectives. Experience working with external agencies and collaborating internally to ensure impactful marketing initiatives is essential. You should be highly organized, analytical, creative, and possess excellent project management skills. As a proactive communicator, you'll keep stakeholders informed and engaged to ensure successful campaign delivery.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Proven experience in delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital and traditional paid media.
- Strong ability to manage campaigns from strategy to execution, meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Experience working with external agencies to create and implement campaigns.
- Strong understanding of brand management and maintaining consistency.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to analyze campaign performance and leverage insights for improvements.
Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- A marketing qualification (e.g., CIM or equivalent).
- Experience within the not-for-profit or charity sector.
- Familiarity with fundraising marketing and aligning campaigns with fundraising goals.
