Job Title: Contract Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Wiltshire (Hybrid Working)
Contract Length: 12 Months
IR35 Status: To Be Determined

Rate: 40–50 per hour

Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer for a contract position with a leading client based in Wiltshire. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative engineering projects in a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and development of mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks CAD
• Perform FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations
• Engineer valves, pumps, and flow control systems for cryogenic environments
• Evaluate and account for the impact of low temperatures on material properties
• Collaborate with cross–functional teams in a marine or offshore engineering context

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD
• Strong background in FEA/CFD analysis
• Experience designing for cryogenic applications
• Knowledge of material behavior at low temperatures
• Previous work in marine or offshore industries is highly desirable
