The role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll work as part of a JV team on the Nuclear Technical Support Provider (NTSP) framework, supporting the refurbishment and upgrade of critical infrastructure at HMNB Clyde. Your responsibilities will include supporting design activities, preparing technical documentation, contributing to CAD modelling and analysis, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory standards are met. You’ll also engage with clients and stakeholders, and have opportunities for professional development.

Key accountabilities:

• Support project execution through collaboration with engineering teams.
• Assist in technical discussions and stakeholder engagement.
• Apply industry standards to engineering activities.
• Participate in safety assessments and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist in producing engineering deliverables and maintain configuration control.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours/week, with a hybrid working pattern of 2 days in-office and 3 days remote.

Essential Experience:

• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience handling diverse engineering tasks.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
