Winedrops helps our members save money and discover amazing wine. We started in 2022 and now have over 35,000 members and sell over 70k bottles per month. We are growing quickly as we expand into the US market (currently UK only) in 2025, aiming to build the world\'s best wine merchant using technology to improve savings and access for our members.

What We're Building

  • Mobile application where 40k MAU buy wine and manage their virtual cellar. The app is written in TypeScript with React Native and Expo
  • The backend is TypeScript deployed as GCP/Firebase Cloud Functions. Queues with GCP Pub/Sub to process requests asynchronously. Postgres database for data storage
  • Web applications where customers sign up and manage their account — TypeScript, React. Deployed to Vercel
  • Internal ERP web application to manage wine stock, customers, etc — TypeScript, Next.js. Deployed to Vercel

Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented full-stack engineer to join our Engineering Team and contribute to new application features. You will collaborate with the founders and the engineering team to shape Winedrops' future.

  • Lead software development cycles from planning to deployment
  • Design and maintain scalable applications with modern technologies
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing applications for better performance

Requirements

  • Comfortable with the tech stack described above
  • Heavy user of AI-enabled SWE tools & workflows (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, v0). Expected to use these tools extensively to increase output speed
  • Enjoy working across the entire stack. Ideally, experience with both React Native and React; not a deal breaker if you have done only one
  • Enjoy SQL. Prisma is used as ORM; you will write complex SQL views as needed
  • Understanding of producing reliable production code. We deploy to production multiple times a day and code is used by tens of thousands of customers
  • GMT timezone availability
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience in dynamic environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
