Overview

Job title: MIS and Data Manager. Employer: TES FE News / Reading Blue Coat School. Location: Theale, England, United Kingdom. This role is part of the School’s IT Services and Support Team, focusing on data organisation, storage, and analysis with emphasis on security and confidentiality.

The post holder is the technical lead for the School’s Management Information System, iSAMS, providing technical support for staff, students and parents, setting up and maintaining report cycles and performing in-depth data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Establish efficient ways of organising, storing and analysing data with attention to security and confidentiality.
  • Act as the technical lead for the School’s MIS (iSAMS) and provide ongoing technical support.
  • Set up and maintain reporting cycles and perform in-depth data analysis.
  • Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to ensure accurate data management and reporting.
  • Support delivery of co-curricular activities, school events, open days and parents’ evenings as needed.

Qualifications

  • Recognised professional qualification in IT.
  • Good knowledge of data analysis, business process analysis and systems analysis.
  • Understanding and management of large-scale education networks.
  • Good knowledge of database systems, especially SQL Server, and MS Office 365.
  • High motivation, proactive attitude and commitment to high standards of service.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 08:30 to 16:30. Additional hours may be required for school events and related activities.
