Mixed Tax Senior Associate - Gloucester

Join a specialist team advising legal practices and veterinary groups across the South West and Wales. This Senior Associate role suits someone with strong personal/partnerships tax experience who enjoys client contact and varied work-without needing to step into a management/AD post just yet.

Location: Bristol, Gloucester, or Cardiff (hybrid/flexible)

The Role

You'll support a high-quality client portfolio of law firms, veterinary businesses, and their owners by:

  • Preparing/reviewing personal and partnership tax returns and computations (incl. LLPs).
  • Handling partner admission/leaver calculations, profit allocations and drawings, and basis period/transitional issues.
  • Supporting advisory pieces: partner remuneration and structuring, succession/retirement planning, incorporation/LLP conversions, capital allowances, and loss relief.
  • Taking ownership of workflows, deadlines, and first-line client queries with a commercial, solutions-focused approach.
  • Collaborating with Managers/Directors on more complex projects and contributing to a supportive team culture.

About You

  • Ideally qualified (CTA/ACA/ACCA), QBE, or actively working towards qualification.
  • Solid grounding in personal and partnerships tax (LLP/partnership mechanics essential; corporate knowledge a bonus).
  • Confident communicator who enjoys building relationships with business owners and finance teams.
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling compliance with light advisory.
