Job Description:

We are seeking a Motorsport Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Development Engineer to join GM Motorsports. This role involves developing and implementing vehicle simulation tools for high-performance racing series such as NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA/WEC, and F1.

The successful candidate will work on a full-stack simulation toolchain, collaborating with race and engineering teams to optimize vehicle performance through software development, vehicle dynamics analysis, and troubleshooting.

**Responsibilities:**

• Develop and enhance vehicle simulation tools for offline and driver-in-the-loop applications
• Collaborate with engineering teams on model development
• Troubleshoot simulation issues and support correlation efforts

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience, including 3+ years in motorsports vehicle dynamics and simulation
• Experience in NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA/WEC, or F1 series
• Proficiency in C#, Matlab, and vehicle simulation tools like Dymola
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a hybrid environment

**Preferred:**

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
• Experience with multi-body simulation, aerodynamic and tire testing, and data analysis software
• Knowledge of FMI standards and cloud computing systems
