Multilingual Freight Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor on behalf of a client in the freight forwarding industry. This is a remote position with a salary range of £60,000-£65,000, depending on experience. The company is expanding its European Operations, so proficiency in European languages is advantageous.

The Operations Supervisor will lead a team of five and manage shipment processes for clients, ensuring compliance with European import/export regulations. Candidates should be confident in remote team leadership and resolving escalated issues, demonstrating strong organizational, communication, and managerial skills during interviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of five, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Support the team in resolving shipment, documentation, and client service issues.
• Maintain relationships with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
• Report operational metrics to senior management and suggest process improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years in Freight Forwarding or Logistics
• 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role
• Understanding of European import/export regulations
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• European language skills in addition to English
