Important Note Please Read Before Applying
This role requires regular travel and working away from home (Monday to Friday) across the UK, including long-distance driving. Accommodation and travel costs are fully covered, but you must be comfortable staying away regularly as part of your normal working pattern. Please consider your personal and family circumstances before applying.
About The Role
This is a full-time, permanent role working 60 hours per week (12 hours per day, Monday to Friday). Due to the nature of the role, the successful applicant will be required to sign an opt-out agreement from the 48-hour working week limit under the Working Time Regulations 1998, confirming they agree to these hours voluntarily.
As a Multi-Skilled Electrician, you will deliver safe, high-quality electrical installations and modifications on shopfitting and commercial building projects while supporting broader project delivery as needed.
You Will
- Carry out compliant electrical works aligned with BS 7671 (18th Edition)
- Certify and sign off your own work, ensuring safety and compliance
- Assist directors with pricing and costing of electrical works during the quotation stage
- Work with fire alarm systems, with the ability to fault-find and install where required
- Use company tablets and software for digital reporting, site updates, and sign-offs
- Travel to and work on customer sites nationwide, staying away during the week
- Support the wider team with non-electrical tasks when required, contributing to a team-first environment
- Maintain tools and equipment responsibly, using PPE and upholding safety standards
Person Specification
We are looking for a reliable, experienced electrician with a solid background in commercial and shopfitting environments who:
- Is flexible and comfortable working away regularly
- Enjoys being part of a team that values pulling together to complete projects to a high standard
- Is professional with clients and colleagues, representing the company positively
- Takes pride in delivering quality work while maintaining safety and compliance
- Is confident in using tablets and digital reporting systems
- Has a good working knowledge of fire alarm systems
- Is comfortable assisting with electrical pricing and costings
Candidates must hold:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Inspection and Testing
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- ECS or JIB Gold Card (valid)
- Competitive salary up to £60,000 DOE
