Are you an experienced FMCG sales professional with a background in the convenience sector? If you're looking for your next opportunity, we have an exciting role for you! Our sales team is aiming for double-digit growth in the convenience sector over the next 12 months, and we need a driven professional to manage key convenience accounts and help make that vision a reality.
The Role
The National Account Manager is responsible for the management, relationship and development of the commercial partnership between IPN and nominated customer(s) whilst delivering profitable growth and building brand equity.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver key account strategies designed to grow annual revenue and profitability which meets IPN and customer expectations
- Identify and develop, in line with customer requirements, new business opportunities within the channel and deliver through the facilitation of Joint Business Plans
- Coordinate customer interfaces with key internal functions (Marketing, Operations, Finance etc.) to ensure a consistent business approach
- Engage with Marketing and Commercial teams and, in line with customer requirements, develop and deliver new/refreshed product ranges to market.
- Challenge business ways of working to drive change internally and with our customer relationships
- Broad knowledge of the FMCG trade
- Previous account management experience 2+ years, ideally specific to the channel the role applies to
- Leadership skills
- FMCG operational understanding and cross functional experience
- Business and commercial acumen
- Degree calibre (desirable)
- Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire (hybrid)
- Salary: Competitive
- 10% annual company bonus scheme
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday
- Pension: Employee contributions 3% / Employer contribution 8%

Our family of brands include Harringtons, Wagg, Barking Heads & Meowing Heads, AATU, Blink, Butchers, Classic Cat and a selection of partner brands that trust us to produce food on their behalf. Our kitchens in Thirsk, Kinmel and Crick produce dry, wet, and baked foods which are enjoyed by dogs and cats all over the world.
