Job Title: Sales Manager – UK (Marine Sector)
Location: Remote/Hybrid (UK-based with travel as required)

Our client is a global leader in advanced technologies and lifecycle solutions for the maritime sector. They focus on delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that drive efficiency, performance, and long-term value for marine operators around the world.
As part of their continued expansion in the UK market, they are looking to appoint a commercially driven Sales Manager to lead business development and customer engagement across the UK marine industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a UK sales strategy aligned with regional and global objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across merchant shipping, offshore, defence, and ferry markets.
- Promote a comprehensive portfolio of marine solutions, including propulsion systems, engines, hybrid technologies, and aftersales/lifecycle services.
- Build and manage relationships with shipowners, operators, shipyards, and classification societies.
- Lead end-to-end sales activities including lead generation, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closure.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, operations, and service teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide market insights, competitor analysis, and sales forecasting to internal stakeholders.
- Represent the business at trade events, exhibitions, and client meetings.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven success in B2B technical sales, ideally within the marine, power generation, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of marine engineering, vessel operations, or propulsion technologies is a significant advantage.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Comfortable working with complex solutions and long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Willing and able to travel across the UK and occasionally to Europe.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Maritime Studies or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years’ sales or business development experience in a technical environment.
- Experience working with OEMs, shipyards, or marine service providers is preferred.
