3rd Line Network Security Engineer - Next Gen Firewalls / CCNP

Hybrid Working - London

Salary: Up to £75k DOE + 5% on-call

We’re partnering with a rapidly growing, award-winning UK MSP to hire a 3rd Line Network Security Engineer. This role focuses on next-gen firewalls, routing, and switching while supporting a high-performing client base in a collaborative, technically driven environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide 3rd Line support and own escalation tickets from 2nd Line engineers.
  • Design, implement, and maintain next-gen firewall, routing, and switching solutions.
  • Plan and deliver assigned network projects, including DR/failover testing.
  • Document solutions (CMDB, Visio, technical summaries).
  • Mentor and support 2nd Line engineers.
  • Collaborate with Solution Delivery to implement new customer projects.
  • Participate in an on-call rota for high-priority incidents.

Technical Environment:

  • SD-WAN: Citrix, Viptela, Meraki, Fortinet, Nuage

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong knowledge of next-gen firewalls, routing, and switching.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting security devices, OSPF, BGP, and VPNs.
  • Proficient in packet capture and root-cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with Cloud (Azure/AWS) and network automation (Ansible/Python) a plus.
  • Previous MSP experience preferred.
