Samwise Media is seeking a Newsletter Strategist to enhance our email marketing efforts by growing, engaging, and converting our audience through high-performing newsletter campaigns.
The role involves developing strategies, executing, and optimizing email content across various brands, with a focus on increasing sales and subscriber numbers.
This is a part-time position, up to 20 hours weekly, suitable for freelancers.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a newsletter strategy centered on deals and shopper insights.
- Plan and execute email campaigns aligned with audience interests and business objectives.
- Analyze performance metrics like open rate, CTR, and conversions to identify improvements.
- Utilize tools such as Google Analytics and Looker Studio for tracking and reporting.
- Create content that encourages sales and promotional engagement.
- Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content layout, and send times.
- Grow the subscriber base through targeted acquisition tactics.
- Segment audiences for personalized content.
- Monitor list health, engagement, and unsubscribe rates.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align content with revenue goals.
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations for future campaigns.
- Design and adapt newsletter strategies with advanced audience segmentation for multiple projects, ensuring personalized content that maximizes engagement and conversions.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and best practices.
- Stay informed on industry trends and propose innovative growth strategies.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in email marketing, focusing on newsletters, audience strategy, or digital content growth.
- Strong understanding of email KPIs including open rate, CTR, and conversion rate.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and other analytics tools.
- Proven success in growing and engaging newsletter audiences.
- Experience in creating content aimed at conversions in consumer digital media.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and campaign experimentation.
- Comfort working with sales funnels and aligning content to revenue goals.
- Excellent writing and editing skills for email marketing.
- Highly organized, data-driven, and capable of working independently remotely.
