Job Title: Nurse Manager
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday
Location: Home based with travel as required
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Occupational Health Advisors, Nurses, and Technicians to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality clinical services to clients across the UK.
- Maintain clinical excellence, support professional development, and ensure service alignment with standards of patient care, compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Oversee day-to-day team management, assist with recruitment and onboarding of new team members, and provide guidance on complex case management referrals.
- Lead clinical audits, help manage complaints, and support the Associate Director of Nursing in shaping and developing the service offering.
- Conduct virtual team meetings, support revalidation processes, and attend client implementation meetings to drive service improvement and promote best practice.
- Act as a clinical ambassador for Medigold Health, promoting Occupational Health services and helping build long-term client partnerships.
- Shape the future of Occupational Health and support employee wellbeing nationwide.
Specific responsibilities
- Work autonomously and as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a satisfactory level of service for all clients and employees, including completion of clinical administration.
- Ensure skills and competencies are maintained to undertake core Occupational Health activities.
- Ensure CPD and training needs are met to comply with NMC continuing registration; maintain evidence for Revalidation.
- Familiarize with client contracts and Aide Memoirs; maintain medical records in line with GDPR and Data Protection policies.
- Liaise with other service teams regarding client and patient queries; maintain supervisory personnel records; conduct interviews, inductions, training, and appraisals.
- Attend tender, client review, and implementation meetings; maintain a competency matrix and support NMC revalidation and clinical competence.
- Assist the Associate Director of Nursing in organizing clinical OHA training; participate in meetings and conduct regular clinical audits.
- Identify and influence improvements to the service from a clinical perspective and explore opportunities to extend Occupational Health products.
Requirements for this role
- Trained to undertake all core Occupational Health clinical skills.
- Experience with case management and complex referrals.
- Occupational Health degree/Diploma & NMC registration is essential.
- Previous managerial and people management experience is desirable.
- Experience in Occupational Health departments, preferably in the private sector.
- Experience participating in tender support meetings and presenting to potential clients is beneficial.
