Our client, a leading childcare provider in Reading, Berkshire, is seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join their dedicated team. As a Nursery Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their overall well‑being and development. Responsibilities
Planning and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, promoting children’s learning and development across all areas. Leading and motivating a team of early years practitioners, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high‑quality childcare. Building strong relationships with children and their families, maintaining open communication and working collaboratively to support each child’s individual needs. Ensuring the safety and well‑being of all children in your care, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times. Maintaining accurate records of children’s progress, development, and daily activities, sharing regular updates with parents and carers. Creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes positive behaviour. Continuously evaluating and reflecting on your practice, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes to enhance the quality of care provided.
Qualifications & Experience
A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent. Proven experience working in a nursery setting, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its practical application. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to promoting their well‑being and development. Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. A positive and proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making. Proficiency in using IT systems for record‑keeping and communication purposes.
