Role Summary
The Operational Assurance Metering team is responsible for ensuring that counterparties meet their contractual metering obligations and maintain ongoing compliance with both regulatory and contractual standards. The team reviews and approves metering evidence during the commissioning phase and throughout the contract lifecycle, supported by a dedicated technical advisory service.
The Metering Assurance Analyst plays a key role in reviewing and supporting meter-related milestones within the CfD contract, particularly those linked to the Operational Conditions Precedent (OCP). The role focuses on assuring site configurations and contributes to building the organisation’s capability to support emerging technologies and future operational requirements. This work underpins the effective management of meter compliance across a diverse portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing metering documentation submitted by generators, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Help maintain trackers and dashboards to monitor contract compliance.
- Support Scheme Delivery colleagues with metering-related queries to help ensure contractual milestones are met on time.
- Collaborate with technical advisory services to conduct thorough reviews of technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with contractual and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records/dashboards to support compliance tracking and reporting, regularly updating stakeholders on compliance status and escalating issues as needed.
Accountabilities
- Process and review technical documentation for CfD sites, escalating more complex issues to the Operational Assurance Manager where required.
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of internal and external guidance materials, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Act as a go-to contact for Contract Managers, providing support on metering and milestone-related matters.
- Contribute to the development of metering assurance processes and documentation, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Engage with stakeholders across Scheme Delivery and Technical Advisory teams to ensure metering obligations are understood and met.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- 6-12 months experience working in metering/ utilities or similar.
- Bachelors Degree in a STEM subject or alternatives showing analytical thinking, problem-solving, or technical understanding relevant to the role.

- Organisational Skills: this role will manage metering obligations for multiple different contracts at once as well as multiple different stakeholders. Maintaining an organised system is key to being an effective service to the business.
- Ability to understand complex concepts and discuss with stakeholders at different levels of understanding.
- Be a team player, with strong interpersonal skills, working collaboratively towards a shared vision for the future.
