Operational Risk Officer, E-Trading

Our client, a Global Investment Firm is looking to hire a candidate to oversee and run the operational risk framework within the second line of defence working closely with the first line whilst providing robust challenge.
Key Tasks
Lead and project manage initiatives for operational risk framework in the EMEA region, by:
- Facilitating operational risk event management framework and data collection, including the detailed reviews of significant events to ensure appropriate remediation plans are implemented, and identification of trends to identify significant or emerging risks.
- Review and evaluate new business initiatives to identify changes to the operational risk profile of the business.
- Interaction with regulators in matters related to operational risks as well as support for the firm's Operational Risk Governance framework.
- Provide insight on the set of risk management metrics that quantify the business's exposure to various types of operational risk.
- Exercising credible and effective challenge as a 2nd line of defence in Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
- Remaining current on business drivers, regulatory and industry changes impacting the business, identifying new or emerging risks to which the business is exposed.
- Providing clear and concise verbal and written recommendations and guidance to internal staff on Operational Risk matters.
- Working with senior stakeholders across the Firm to further strengthen and develop the risk framework and its individual components.
- Conducting training and raising awareness of the operational risk framework and business continuity program within the region.
- Contributing to the advancement of operational risk methods and practices and the operational risk management framework.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in handling operational risk matters, experience with algorithmic trading i.e. MIFID RTS 6 is preferred.
