We are seeking an experienced Optimisation Consultant to join our fast-growing Banking Operations & Domain Solutions team within a global consultancy firm. This is your opportunity to lead high-impact client engagements, shape strategy at top financial institutions, and help define the future of banking operations.
As an integral member of our team, you'll be empowered to lead projects, develop innovative propositions, and support continued growth through business development and talent coaching.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex optimisation and transformation programmes for top-tier banking clients.
- Act as a subject matter expert and take ownership of high-value projects, ensuring delivery excellence and innovation.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, becoming a recognised advisor within the financial services sector.
- Drive proposition development, marketing activity, and thought leadership that positions the firm at the forefront of banking transformation.
- Inspire and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion.
- Support the recruitment and development of talent within the practice.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including bid preparation, pre-sales activity, and client presentations.
Your Experience:
- Proven experience within a major bank, financial institution, or top-tier consulting firm with a focus on transformation or optimisation.
- Core Banking systems : Mambu, Thought Machine 10X, Starling Engine Model 10X - Essential
- Deep understanding of UK banking market dynamics including regulatory, technological, and customer trends.
- Hands-on experience leading complex projects involving:
- Digital transformation and automation (AI, RPA)
- Platform migrations and system integration
- Process re-engineering and cost reduction
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across all levels of seniority.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear strategies.
- High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Awareness of risk management principles and reputational protection.
- Willingness and ability to work across different geographies and time zones.
- Experience in large-scale Financial Services integration or migration programmes.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies in FS transformation projects.
- Track record of leading successful consulting bids (RFI/RFP responses) and building strong industry relationships.
- Strong data analysis skills and a user-centered design approach informed by user research and customer experience insights.
