Connecting Accounting Professionals with Market Leading Companies

About the Firm

We’re working exclusively with a leading independent accountancy and advisory firm with a strong presence in the mid‑market and SME space. The firm has an excellent reputation for high‑quality client service and a growing Corporate Finance division advising on M&A, debt advisory, and strategic growth transactions.

As part of their continued expansion, our client is looking to appoint a Corporate Finance Partner to lead and grow the team — ideally attracting a proven Director or senior professional ready to step up to partnership level.

The Opportunity

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a forward‑thinking, ambitious firm where you’ll have real influence over the direction and success of the Corporate Finance offering. You’ll take ownership of originating and leading transactions, building relationships with clients and intermediaries, and helping to develop a high‑performing advisory team.

The role will suit a commercial and entrepreneurial dealmaker with strong technical grounding and a track record of delivering mid‑market transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage corporate finance transactions, including M&A, business sales, acquisitions, and fundraising.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, banks, investors, and other intermediaries.
  • Drive business development and deal origination across target markets.
  • Oversee all aspects of deal execution — valuation, financial modelling, negotiation, and project management.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on growth, succession, and exit planning.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
  • Play a key role in shaping and growing the Corporate Finance practice, working closely with other Partners across the firm.
  • Contribute to the firm’s overall strategic direction and client service proposition.

About You

  • Currently operating at Corporate Finance Director level (or equivalent senior manager ready for Partner progression).
  • Proven experience in lead advisory, ideally within an accountancy firm, boutique advisory, or mid‑market corporate finance house.
  • Strong transaction track record — particularly in M&A, disposals, and fundraising.
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with deep technical knowledge and commercial acumen.
  • Established network of clients and professional intermediaries within the regional or national market.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach and strong leadership capabilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to build and grow a successful practice.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive remuneration package with equity / profit share opportunity.
  • Clear route to partnership (for incoming Director‑level applicants).
  • Autonomy and influence in shaping the firm’s Corporate Finance strategy.
  • Supportive, entrepreneurial partnership team and collaborative culture.
  • Hybrid working and flexible arrangements to support work‑life balance.
