Part-time Director / Non-Executive Director (m/f/d) UK Entity

2 Days Old

Youngle is a small but growing e‑commerce company focused on longevity, health and wellness products. We sell primarily online through our own shops and marketplaces and operate lean, international structures with entities in the EU and UK. Our goal is to make high‑quality longevity products accessible, while maintaining strong compliance and a professional governance setup.

To support our UK business, we are looking for an experienced UK‑based Director / Non‑Executive Director who can take on statutory director responsibilities for our UK entity on a very part‑time basis.

Tasks

Your Role

As Part‑time Director / Non‑Executive Director for Youngle’s UK entity, you will:

  • Act as a statutory director of the UK company, registered with Companies House.
  • Provide light‑touch governance and oversight for the UK entity.
  • Review and sign a small number of documents per month (e.g. contracts, banking documents, board resolutions, filings).
  • Ensure that the UK entity operates in line with UK company law and basic corporate governance standards.
  • Be available for occasional coordination calls (e.g. once per month, plus ad hoc when signatures/approvals are needed).
  • Offer pragmatic advice to the founder/management on UK‑related compliance topics (within your experience).

This is not an operational, full‑time Managing Director role. Day‑to‑day operations, marketing and sales are handled by the existing team. Your focus is governance, compliance and formal director responsibilities.

Time Commitment

  • Approx. 1 day per week on average
  • Mostly remote / flexible schedule
  • Very few in‑person meetings expected (if any)

Workload is typically:

  • Monthly or quarterly reviews of key documents
  • Signing specific documents as requiredOccasional calls/messages with the CEO and finance/legal partners

Requirements

  • Based in the UK and legally able to act as a company director.
  • Several years of experience as a Director / Managing Director / Non‑Executive Director / Senior Executive in UK companies (ideally SMEs, startups or e‑commerce).
  • Solid understanding of UK directors’ duties and basic corporate governance (Companies Act 2006, filings, etc.).
  • High sense of responsibility and integrity – you are comfortable being named as a statutory director and taking that role seriously.
  • Pragmatic, business‑oriented mindset: you can balance risk management with the reality of a small, growing company.
  • Good communication skills in English; comfortable working with an international founder/team.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with e‑commerce, D2C brands, or consumer products.
  • Prior experience as a portfolio / fractional director or NED for small companies.

Benefits

  • A very flexible, low‑intensity role (approx. 1 day per week) that fits well into a portfolio of other activities.
  • £500 per day (approx. £2,000 per month retainer), with scope to review as the company grows.
  • A simple setup: clear expectations, low meeting load, and a small, hands‑on founding team.
  • Opportunity to help a young international brand build a professional and compliant UK structure from an early stage

We look forward to hearing from you.
