Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for driving both strategic and operational impact? We’re looking for a People Business Partner to join our client and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the people agenda.

This role is a 10 month contract and offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, guiding and enabling them to create high-performing, inclusive and future-ready teams, while also managing day-to-day HR activity with precision and impact.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partnering with divisional leaders to design and deliver people plans that align with business priorities.
  • Analysing external labour market trends and advising on workforce planning and resourcing strategies.
  • Collaborating with Talent Acquisition and L&D teams to build strong pipelines, develop leadership capability, and ensure succession strength.
  • Supporting organisational change including TUPE and M&A activity.
  • Leading initiatives in employee engagement, performance management, reward, and people analytics.
  • Coaching and upskilling managers to anticipate and resolve organisational challenges.
  • Managing employee relations, including working with trade union representatives.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, using insight to identify risks, opportunities, and long-term people strategies.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in a People / HR Business Partner role within a complex organisation.
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, organisational design, and talent management.
  • Confident working with senior leaders and influencing at a strategic level.
  • Demonstrable experience with change programmes, M&A/TUPE, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Resilient, collaborative and commercially minded, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
