A people-focused, charitable organisation, currently seeking a People & Culture Director to join their growing business on a permanent basis. This organisation has experienced significant growth, boasts fantastic retention rates, and continues to expand.

Your New Role

As People and Culture Director, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and engaging work environment, focusing on employee development and wellbeing. You will provide expert advice on people-related matters, ensuring employees and managers feel supported and valued.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operate as part of the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the CEO and directors across the business.
  2. Develop and implement people plans and strategies.
  3. Lead employee development initiatives and wellbeing workshops.
  4. Conduct senior-level headhunting and manage talent acquisition.
  5. Provide advice and support to directors and junior team members.
  6. Act as the EDI and safeguarding lead.
  7. Oversee policy work and support change management initiatives.
  8. Examine organisational structure and identify staffing needs.
  9. Ensure staff wellbeing and foster a positive culture.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  1. Strategic HR experience at a senior level, combined with operational/hands-on HR expertise.
  2. A passion for fostering a positive work environment and living the organisation's values.
  3. Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and directors.
  4. Experience in employee development and talent management.
  5. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  6. Understanding of HR systems.
  7. CIPD qualification Level 5 minimum (Level 7 desirable).
