Purpose of the Role


The People Director will lead a team of Business Partners and act as a strategic partner to the Chief People Officer and senior leadership, shaping and delivering ITN’s People strategy across all business areas. They will play a critical role in enabling a high‑performance, creative and inclusive culture, ensuring we attract, develop and retain exceptional talent.


Key Responsibilities



  • Strategic People Leadership

    • Partner with the CPO and SLT to define and execute the People strategy aligned to business priorities.

    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on workforce planning, talent, capability, organisational design and future‑skills readiness.



  • Culture, Inclusion & Engagement

    • Champion ITN’s culture and DE&I agenda, embedding inclusion in all People practices.

    • Drive initiatives that strengthen belonging, engagement and wellbeing.



  • Talent & Development

    • Lead talent attraction, development and succession planning, ensuring strong pipelines for critical roles.

    • Oversee capability building, leadership development and career pathways.



  • Employee Relations & Governance

    • Ensure robust ER frameworks and legal compliance.

    • Provide expert oversight on complex ER matters and coach People Partners and managers.



  • Performance, Reward & Recognition

    • Lead performance and reward programmes to drive accountability and support retention.

    • Partner with Finance and Reward on annual pay reviews and compensation frameworks.



  • Change & Transformation

    • Lead People elements of business change, restructures and transformation programmes.

    • Ensure effective communication, employee support and successful implementation.

Key Requirements



  • Extensive HR leadership experience in a complex, fast‑paced and multi‑stakeholder environment – preferably 10+ years.

  • Strong employee relations expertise and deep knowledge of UK employment law.

  • Proven track record of influencing senior leaders and building trusted partnerships.

  • Experience designing and embedding inclusive People strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead organisational change and build high‑performing cultures.

  • Commercially astute, data‑driven and comfortable managing budgets and external partners.
