BrandAlley is undergoing a transformation and is looking for an exceptional People Operations Manager/ Specialist to lead the way. You will be the People Ops expert, ensuring processes are efficient, systems are connected, and employees feel supported. You will embed our new HRIS Cezanne and own people experiences from recruitment and onboarding to policy updates. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact in a business that values innovation, exceptional people experiences, and operational excellence.
What you’ll be doing
- Act as a strategic partner, owning hiring across BrandAlley. Deliver full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, managing processes and closing candidates. Build and maintain talent pipelines through direct sourcing. Report hiring metrics and pipeline data.
- Build and deliver an exceptional end-to-end onboarding experience, ensuring new joiners are up and running quickly with the right tools. (Includes overseeing automated probation processes.)
- Oversee an automated offboarding experience, collaborating with finance, IT and other departments. Lead on exit interviews and share learnings as appropriate.
- Be the owner and lead for our HR system – Cezanne, ensuring starters, leavers, promotions, and changes are processed and documents updated.
- Lead the HR inbox, driving automation and efficiencies.
- Manage contractor compliance, keeping IR35 documentation accurate and up to date.
- Keep people policies and processes fresh, aligned with our values, and transparent for all colleagues.
- Collaborate with our Payroll Advisor to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing when needed.
- Be data-focused, reporting monthly key metrics and driving improvements, efficiencies and exceptional experiences.
- Drive smarter ways of working through automation and seamless systems integration.
- Support learning and development by training the wider People & Culture team and managers in system and automation approaches.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to make the People Operations function more effective and provide an exceptional employee and manager experience.
What you’ll bring
- A strong track record in People Operations, ideally in a fast-moving business (around 200 employees).
- Hands-on experience with the Cezanne HR system; you know what is possible and what good people experiences look like.
- Confidence with data, systems, and reporting tools.
- Keen interest and knowledge of employment law and IR35 compliance.
- Tech-savvy and solutions-focused, always seeking improvements.
- Experience with product-led people experiences is desirable.

- Impeccable attention to detail, strong project management, and ability to juggle priorities.
- Motivated, takes full responsibility for work areas, and can work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to build trust with managers and stakeholders.
- Experience in e-commerce and/or retail or FMCG is preferred.
